David Hussey is confident Australia can orchestrate a 2-0 clean sweep over India in the Twenty20 International series when the teams clash in Melbourne on Friday.

The Australians won the opening match by 31 runs on Wednesday and the 34-year-old now wants to keep India's losing streak going after the tourists lost the Test series 4-0.

"It's pretty important to make it 2-0. We played good cricket and got a few cobwebs out of the way. We want to keep the momentum going forward and play a perfect game in front of 90,000 (fans) at the MCG," he said.

All-rounder Hussey played an important role in the win at Stadium Australia, having scored 42 with the bat before following it up with figures of two for four. Now he plans to build on the winning streak and keep his personal form going in Melbourne.

"There's no better feeling than to do it at MCG, the home of Australian cricket in front of 90,000 people. There's no better atmosphere throughout the world," he added.

Hussey, meanwhile, is fully in favour of team-mate David Warner's controversial, yet innovative switch-hitting. The Australian opener wowed the Sydney crowd with a massive six after reversing his stance when facing Ravichandran Ashwin. While it is a high-risk shot, Hussey insisted Warner knows exactly what he is doing and there was no reason to criticise the player.

"It was phenomenal. He's been practicing it in the nets. David is a fantastic talent, (imagine) to hit it 100m batting right-handed," added Hussey.

"Dave is a pioneer and a few of the younger kids coming through can follow such skills.

"I think it's innovative. Dave is a very classy player and can hit right or left hand. It's an invention of Twenty20 cricket and there's no reason why it can't be played in Test arena."
