Holland drew first blood of their two-match ODI series against Canada with a comfortable 50-run win in Amstelveen on Saturday.

The Dutch posted a formidable 237 for seven in their 50-over allotment, with Alexei Kervezee weighing in with 75 and Peter Borren contributing 50.

In reply, the tourists capitulated to 187 all out in 39 overs. Rizwan Cheema's knock of 94 was a standalone effort as Edgar Schiferli's four for 44 orchestrated the Canadian collapse.

The teams meet again on Sunday for the second and final one-dayer.
